Hair Loss, Aging And Staying Young

If you are approaching the age of 40, then chances are you’re noticing a few changes in your appearance. If you’re lucky, you are seeing a little gray hair and nothing more, but for most of us, hair loss and weight gain are the main problems we face. So what can we do?

Here are some ways to combat the hair loss, weight gain and other effects of aging we all face.

1) Eat right: I know this one sounds cliche, but experts have traced many aging problems, including the dreaded hair loss back to lack of proper balance in nutrients. The older we get, the more we need to keep a proper balance in our vitamin and mineral intake.

2) Exercise regularly: Yep, you’ve heard this one from every angle in every article you have ever read, but it doesn’t minimize the importance of it. Staying in shape is as important as eating right. If you are really busy and don’t have time to get to the gym on a regular basis, then invest in some MBT Shoes or Fit Flops to help tone your body during your normal activities.

3) See your doctor about hair loss: If you are having trouble with hair loss, then see your doctor immediately. Technology today has made it possible to really make a difference in thinning hair. You have every opportunity to try prescription hair loss medicines, but you can also have hair implants worked into your scalp if you need a more extreme approach. The choice is yours, but don’t procrastinate.

4) Take a vacation from stress: Just about any problem we men face can be traced back to stress. It may be time to invest in a long vacation. Wherever you go, be sure to ditch your cell phone and laptop. Take a vacation from everything, including your personal email.

5) Care for your skin. This one is overlooked by most of us, but nice skin is important and noticed by everyone. The older you get, the more you should care about wrinkles and blemishes in your face. It is a good idea to use a complete skin care system like La Mer so you can get a good cleansing and moisturizing every day and night.

Keep in mind, guys, that it is cool to keep yourself looking young. Many of us are afraid to invest in “man-scaping” products, but we need to get over that and keep ourselves looking young, well into our 30s and 40s!
