Candida Spit Test – How To Do One?

Going through a Home based Candida Spit Test is really easy. It will give you a rough guide as to the likelihood that you have too much yeast or Candida in your system.

It is not fully clear how the test came about, however it has been in existence for some time now. I recommend you use it as an indicator only as it is only meant to provide an indication, and should not be relied upon as your only form of diagnosis.

The Candida Spit Test is carried out as per these instructions;

Fill up a clear glass with water and place it by your bed or somewhere that you will notice it as soon as you get up the next morning.

As you get up, you may need to wait for some saliva to build in your mouth. Once this has happened spit it into your glass.

Make sure this is the very first thing you do. Do not drink or eat anything first or clean your teeth.

Don’t even kiss your partner! I’m sure they will understand just this one time!

Take note of the appearance of your spit as soon as you have put it in the water.

Check again 2 or 3 minutes later. After you have caught up on that Kiss…

Try and observe your Candida spit test again in 15 min intervals.

If possible your Candida spit test should be carried out over an hour. The minimum time frame should be half an hour.

Healthy saliva will be clear, it will float on top and it will slowly dissolve into the water without any cloudiness and without sinking.

It is very usual to see some foam and or bubbles.

You are likely to be experiencing a Candida Albicans issue if you see the following.

A stringiness that goes towards the bottom.

The spit may become cloudy and sink.

Cloudy specks suspended in the water

If you see any or all of these signs and that they develop quite quickly, these are an indication that you have a problem with a yeast infection.

If your candida spit test gives you an indication that you in fact are likely to have a yeast infection, I suggest you firstly starting taking a look at your diet, this is often where the problem begins.

Some of the food groups that can cause a problem are those with high sugar content, that contain yeast, and dairy products.

Highly processed foods, the contraceptive pill and antibiotics can also spark a yeast overgrowth.

Naturally seeking the advice of your local medical practitioner who will be able to conduct further tests to your initial Candida Spit Test to determine if you do in fact have Candida Albicans overgrowth as well as the severity of the problem.
